Kling Omni: FAQ

Updated by Martin

1. What is Kling Omni?

Kling Omni is the multi-modal member of the Kling family. It generates video from text plus a mix of reference inputs. Use up to 5 reference images, start/end keyframes, and one reference video with optional native audio. It's built for character-consistent and reference-driven generation.

2. What resolution and duration does Kling Omni support?

Resolutions:

  • 720p (faster, lower cost)

  • 1080p (higher quality)

  • 2160p / 4K (most expensive)

Durations (clip lengths):

  • 3s, 5s, 7s, 10s, 12s, or 15s (longer clips cost more)

3. How does Kling Omni handle audio?

Audio is optional and off by default — enable it for native sound:

  • Dialogue: put spoken lines in quotes for lip-synced speech.

  • Sound effects & ambience: describe them explicitly.

  • Reference video sound: when using a reference video, you can choose to keep or discard its original audio.

4. Can you combine inputs with Kling Omni in one prompt?

This is its core strength. In a single generation you can mix:

  • Reference images: up to 5, to guide content or keep a subject consistent.

  • Keyframes: a Start Frame plus an optional End Frame (End Frame requires a Start Frame, and isn't allowed with Multi-Shot).

  • Reference video: one clip, 3–30s. Set its role with Reference Type — feature for style/motion reference, or base for video editing.

  • Multi-Shot: auto-splits the prompt into a multi-scene storyboard.

All of these sit alongside your text prompt.

5. What aspect ratios are available?

  • 16:9 (landscape)

  • 9:16 (portrait / vertical)

  • 1:1 (square)

6. Are keyframes available with the Kling Omni model?

Yes. Kling Omni supports keyframe generation:

  • Start Frame: the clip begins from this image.

  • End Frame: optional, requires a Start Frame, and cannot be combined with Multi-Shot mode.
