Ray 3.14: Overview

Updated by Martin

This guide covers the essentials to make your first video. Give Ray3.14 a text description, a still image, or both, and it produces a short cinematic clip!

What Ray3.14 is good for

  • Quick, cinematic clips. Fast generation with native 1080p quality.

  • Text-to-video. Describe a scene and Ray3.14 creates it from scratch.

  • Image-to-video. Bring a still image to life with motion.

  • Seamless loops. Generate clips that repeat without a visible cut, ideal for backgrounds and social loops.

Please note: Ray3.14 generates video only, so add voiceover, music, or sound effects as a separate step.

Your first video in 3 steps

  1. Write a prompt. Describe the subject, the action, and the setting in one or two sentences. Example: "A lighthouse keeper walks along a cliff path at dawn, coat billowing in the wind, waves crashing below."

  2. Pick your settings. Choose an aspect ratio and duration (see below). The defaults are a good starting point.

  3. Generate and refine. Review the result, adjust your prompt, and try again. Iteration is normal, and small prompt tweaks make a big difference.

Prompt tips that matter most

  • Use mid-action verbs. Say "running" rather than "begins to run," describing the action already happening.

  • Add secondary motion. Details like wind in the hair, fabric movement, or reflections make clips feel alive.

  • Skip hype words. Terms like "vibrant," "whimsical," or "hyper-realistic" tend to lower quality rather than raise it.

  • Working from an image? Describe only what should change or move, and don't re-describe what's already in the picture.
